This weekend was member- guest at Rich’s father’s golf club.
Rich and his father play golf all weekend and Val and I go shopping.
And drink adult blue lemonade.
After the men play 8 million rounds of golf, and prolly drink equal amounts of their own adult beverages.
He eventually took his skills to a course and stopped blocking my TV.
It also means that I finish 2 Stephanie Plum novels in about 4 hours because I only have so much money to spend on outlet shopping.
We then combine drinking forces at the member guest dinner.
My fancy barbie dress and Jimmy Buffet’s Goodwill cast off on Rich.
It is a chance to look fancy.
It was also a chance to win a woman’s golf club.
Which I will prolly never use.
Sunday was also my friend Michele’s Birthday!!!
I was sad to miss her run through hell and doing a birthday shot with her.
But I did one for her with Rich.
And I also made her some delish Cookie Dough Dip.
Sunday also meant a very special surprise for me which you will find out more about another day.
Cookie Dough Dip
1 stick butter
1 package cream cheese (softened)
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup chocolate morsals
1. Melt butter in a small pot on medium heat.
2. Whisk in 1/3 cup brown sugar until sugar dissolves and mixture begins to bubble. Then add vanilla
3. Cream together cream cheese and powdered sugar for about 60 seconds. Add brown sugar mixture. And beat on low to combine.
4. Fold in chocolate chips. You could also add chips when mixing, which will break them up.
We use Stacy’s Cinnamon and Sugar Pita chips, but have used animal crackers, and chocolate covered pretzels.
